I’ve always believed our pets are more than just animals—they’re family, soulmates, and tiny furry comedians that bring us unconditional love (and a bit of chaos). Capturing that magic in a way that feels joyful, heartfelt, and uniquely them is why I started Claire Donovan Art.

I’m Claire—an Oz based digital and traditional artist with a soft spot for quirky colour palettes, long naps with cats, and painting portraits that make people feel. Whether it's the wide-eyed innocence of a kitten, the floppy-eared mischief of a senior dog, or the unforgettable spirit of a beloved pet who's passed, my mission is to bottle that personality in paint.

I work mainly on my iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil (because digital art allows me to get those vibrant pops of colour just right), but everything I create is infused with the heart of traditional watercolour techniques. Each pet portrait is hand-painted with a style that’s whimsical, bold, and unapologetically sentimental.

Over the years, I’ve painted everything from high-energy Rottweilers to mysterious black cats—every one of them bursting with their own unique charm. It’s not about creating a perfect likeness—it’s about capturing the spirit that makes your pet so unforgettable.
